  1. Gentlemen! We are forgetting a Magazine published by the Cuban FAR,named “EL OFICIAL”. This Magazine studied American weapons and tactics and operational procedures,This Magazine was sold in every Newspaper stand in Cuba and was a once a month Magazine,it also covered the Cuban Campaigns in Angola, the Operation Lan Son of Viet Nam and another issued covered Booby Traps during the Viet Nam war.The then Colonel Amel Escalante, actually an Intelligence Brigadier General had a section where he talked about American weaponry,This man spent his whole entire life studying American equipment. I was a kid and I purchased this magazine to draw the photos of the blackhawks and American tanks in a sketch book I used to carry.Of course I got spelled from school several times and my sketch book was confiscated due to what the communists called “Ideology deviation” because I was not a commie.
